HELP CHECK THE ACTIVITIES OF MARAUDERS IN OUR AREA- community leader

A community leader in Ogun State, Mr. Wasiu Bello has appealed to security agents to wade into the constant harassment of innocent residents of Odogbolu Town by people suspected to be hired assailants.



Mr. Bello made the appeal while speaking at an emergency meeting called at the instance of the towns’ community development association.
The community leaders’ call came in response to the frequent visits at night to Odogbolu by some armed social miscreants who claimed they were searching for a former staff of Union Bank Nig. PlC, Mr Adeniyi Saheed-Olufowobi who also own an NGO named T-Gold Venture which specializes in giving soft loans and empowerment to farmers, traders and the less privileged in Sagamu town.
“We have continued to play hosts to strange people in this town and each time they visited us, they claimed they were in the town to carry out an assassination errand sent them by some defaulters of loans disbursed early in the year by T-Gold Venture”.  Mr. Bello said with worries, noting that residents of the town now sleep with one eye open.
 The community leader said Adeniyi’s travail began when he started taking actions to recover money from loan defaulters who were owing his company, saying that sometimes in March 2019, this assailants went to attack him and his family in his house in Sagamu while his fishes were also poisoned in the farm.
He said that the activities of the miscreants who he noted were known cultist have become worrisome as they have always been on the trail of Mr. Adeniyi Saheed- Olufowobi and his family who he said were indigenes of Odogbolu, from Sagamu where he lived to Akure his place of work and Odogbolu his ancestral home, with the intention of collecting the loan records of T- Gold from him so that the company would find it difficult to trace its loan defaulters.
The community leader added “With the level of threat to the life of Adeniyi and his family coupled with fear and anxiety that have gripped his family members, he decided to go into hiding.
“I am appealing to all security operatives in the state to, brace up to the challenges ahead and put machinery in motion to ensure that Adeniyi Saheed-Olufowobi’s life and those of his entire family is not put into danger” he added.
