Christians have been enjoined to lay the foundation of their lives, business, marriage, career and home on Christ the solid rock as this is highly rewarding.
The reward, according to the Regional Overseer, Mountain of Fire And Miracles Ministries, South West Region 88, Gbonogun Abeokuta Pastor (Professor) John Aihonsu, transcended this physical world.
This was the essence of his message at a charity event- Palliative For The Needy tagged "You Are Not Forgotten" held at Henry Townsend Hall in the premises of St Peter Anglican church, Ake,, Abeokuta
The event was organized by KOA Foundation, a Christ-like foundation whose vision is rooted in the book of Matthew 25:40 - "And the king shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you. In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me"
Pastor Anhonsu also liken the foundation to a precious ointment upon the head that ran down the beard, even Aaron 's beard in Psalm 133:2
He said the organizers considered it necessary to extend their blessings to others by making provisions for the needy to celebrate joyfully because of their love for others through Christ.
He emphasized the need to build everything we have on Jesus who is the foundation of love as written in John 3:16.
The man of God stated that the love of God for mankind brought Jesus to the world, who then inspired Mrs Akindipe and other stake holders of KOA Foundation to express the love of Christ to the needy in this period.
Pastor Sunday Aderibigbe, the Regional Overseer, Mountain of Fire And Miracles Ministries, South West Region 194, Ibadan and Pastor Gideon Oluwafemi, the Regional Overseer, South West Region 70, Iyanbu, Abeokuta explained the vision and purpose of the foundation which came to being six years ago to the gathering.
The duo of Pastor Aderibigbe and Pastor Gideon also encouraged the wealthy in the society especially those in the body of Christ to reciprocate the love of Christ to humanity by extending their wealth to the needy in their neighborhood because government and churches can not do it alone as Luke 6:38 says: "Give it and it shall be given unto you in good measure".
KOA foundation is not only known for giving palliatives to the needy during this period, but also gives scholarship to outstanding students who are less privileged and training for widows with cash assistance to start their own businesses after the training.
Mrs Akindipe, in a philanthropic gesture started the foundation in United Kingdom several years ago after receiving the vision under the Care Ministry tagged "Living Word" to express the love of Christ to the needy who serve God but have nothing to eat during Christmas and new year.
According to her, the vision is for the needy in the household of faith not for those who are comfortable or who have something to manage during Christmas and new year celebration.
The foundation was further instructed through the Holy Spirit to extend the gesture to Nigeria in 2018 with 25 widows at Mountain of Fire And Miracles Ministries South West Region 1 Asero, Abeokuta .
As God wanted it, because it's God vision, "He told us to include the needy outside the church, since then the foundation expanded the scope of the programme to over two hundred benefactors yearly".
Mrs Akindipe further said that the care ministry for Nigeria is "You Are Not Forgotten".
The foundation also organize training for youth and women in middle of every year, "once we are informed and you were interviewed by Pastor Gideon, then the foundation picks up the bill".
"We were told about a brilliant girl whose parents couldn't afford to pay for her West Africa Examination but ended as an housemaid and crying day and night, but when we heard, we took up the bill, to the glory of God the girl performed excellently, she's in the university now.
Some of the benefactors expressed their profound gratitude to the organizers.
One Mrs Adeola, said, "eating daily is a problem with her children not to think of Celebrating Christmas. She expressed her gratitude to the foundation for remembering the needy this season.
