Men of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Gombe Command, in collaboration with Nigeria Police Force, Gombe Command, have declared wanted four persons suspected to be gay who are allegedly connected to the recent same sex marriage in the state.
The four persons are Ogundeyi Sunday Ayomide, Garuba Kabir, Garuba Aliu, Joshua Esemogie and Dawud Gaya.
It would be recalled that the NSCDC recently paraded scores of young men arrested at a same sex marriage ceremony in the state. This was after the police arrested about 70 at a gay wedding, which has been described illegal in the country, following a tipoff from a person who knew of the event.
Gombe NSCDC spokesman, Buhari Saad, in a statement said, “After a thorough investigation, the following persons: Garuba Aliu, Ogundeyi Sunday Ayomide, Ohilebo Samuel Osaretin, Joshua Esemogie, Dogo Bako, Ikenna Aduba and others at large, have been found to be involved in encouraging same sex marriage in some parts of the country.
“These individuals, led by Ogundeyi Sunday Ayomide have been going round the country brainwashing young guys and luring them into homosexuality and we have discovered that they have fled their various locations. From our investigations, we gathered that Ifonlaja Oluwagbemiga Owolabi is the leader of the group.
“We are calling on members of the public who may have any information concerning the whereabouts of these individuals to come to us. We don’t want these type of individuals in our society. Homosexuality is against the law of our and we have to get rid of criminal elements from our society.”
Saad, a deputy superintendent of NSCDC said the Corps is working with Police, the operatives recently intercepted a cross-dresser who confessed that he was a member of a gay club and gave the names of some other individuals who are part of the club
