The President of the Ogun State Council of Baale, Baale Tunji Falola has given a pat on the back to the people of the state for the peace and tranquillity which was allowed to prevail during last Saturday's Presidential and National Assembly election in the state.

Speaking during an exclusive chat with our correspondent immediately after he had cast his vote at a polling unit opposite The Apostolic Church, Ago Oko, Abeokuta last Saturday Baale Falola expressed satisfaction with the orderly manner in which the people conducted themselves during the said election.

He enjoined them to also sustain this emulative tempo in the coming Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Elections slated for 11th March 2023.

Baale Falola begged all residents of the state to inculcate this brotherly love at all future elections " since we will remain brothers and sisters after any election, hence we should not allow politics to put us asunder".

The traditional chief described the election as the best he had ever had as he praised youth in the state for their equanimity and cooperation in ensuring that peace reigned during and after the exercise.

He noted that the tranquil conduct of the exercise in Ogun has earned the state kudos in the comity of states in the federation as a peaceful state.

Asked to state what he could attribute the peaceful conduct of the election to, Baale Falola noted that mass education of voters was accorded high priority by the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) and the state government government. This too, the traditional ruler gave kudos to.

Baale Falola also called attention to scarcity of Naira which he said has its positive sides as it made the election election go smoothly without any agitation or vote buying.
