It was sheer luck for the the Ogun State House of Assembly aspirant for Yewa South state constituency, Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty when his home located at No 2, Ajayi Close, Abiola way, Abeokuta was last Friday attacked by suspected hoodlums.

The incident which was the fourth in the series of attack happened on Friday 23rd September, 2022.

“Around 12 am on Friday, they invaded the home of Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty burnt a section of the house down, including vehicles and other valuable properties.

It could be recalled that recently, Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty was a subject of attack when her vehicle was waylaid at Papalanto, Ilaro road, the headquarters of Yewa South Local government area of Ogun State.

Narrating the incident to Our Correspondent, the driver of the vehicle who was visibly shaking while speaking said this is the third term within a month that they will be a subject of attack by suspected political thugs hired by his boss's opponents.

The driver who gave his name as Mutairu said he has been driving Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty for a long time, but her predicament started when she showed intention to contest for the Assembly seat in Yewa South Local government area of Ogun State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party,(PDP),a situation her opponents saw to be the only stumbling block that will prevent them from achieving their aim.

Chief Nurudeen Sulaimon  while speaking with Our Correspondent on last Friday attack said the community and the family of the Honourable await the outcome of the security investigation and the threat that was directly issued by the political opponent of Hon. Betty Folashade.

"From Our findings, she was not around when the incident happened, we heard that she is outside the country, from the conversation of those guys, they said they had information that she had returned.

"Those guys that day were deadly, they came with dangerous weapons, chanting incantations, nobody could dare them.

"I will just advise the woman to stay off somewhere for some times. I don't know why politics have to be a do or die affair like this.
