Hon. Elemide gift cash grants to constituent members

A member representing Odeda State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Daisi Elemide continue with his empowerment programme by supporting members of his constituent from Obete ward in Odeda local government area of Ogun State, with cash as part of his Small Enterprise Cash Grants programme.


Handing over the cash grants to beneficiaries drawn from Obete Ward and all polling units in the ward at his residence,  Hon Elemide thanked them for what he called their overwhelming and encouraging support since he was elected as their representative in the House of Assembly.



The Assembly man affirmed that Prince Dapo Abiodun led government in the State has eradicated voter apathy from the nation’s polity through aggressive infrastructural development that translated to the impressive performance of the government which had hitherto place Ogun State on a solid development pedestal.


Hon Elemide while assuring to complete the payment of the grant to all the 10 wards in his Constituency, tasked the beneficiaries to judiciously use the funds.


He listed his scorecard in less than two years to include, sponsoring of people and development-friendly bills, creating wealth and payment of JAMB fees and repairing of some boreholes in the Constituency.


Others according to Hon Elemide include creating job opportunities for unemployed youths, attracting State projects and others to the confirmation and thunderous applause of the mammoth crowd.


Hon Elemide who re-echoed his avowed commitment to continue to serve his people to the best of his ability, vowed to continue to be accommodating and throw his political doors open always to attract more members and assured of better days ahead.


He said the APC led government both at the Federal and the State has performed creditably, while soliciting for more cooperation from the electorates.


He said the challenges facing the country is not peculiar with Nigeria alone as the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic is been felt world over.


Speaking on the insecurity bedeviling the country, he assured that the Buhari led administration will continue to fight insurgency and banditry till they are overwhelmed.

His words, " The war against banditry and terrorism is not a normal war where you faced your enemy one on one, it's a guerilla type of war, but with the strategy that this current government has put in place, they will soon be decimated".


Responding, Mr Abubakar Kazeem who spoke for the beneficiaries made up of aged men and women appreciated Hon Elemide for making them solid self-reliant entrepreneurs, pledged their tacit support for him and enjoined other politicians to emulate him.


The event was witnessed by APC chieftains, party loyalists, community leaders, youths and political functionaries from the local government area.
