How five FMC staff allegedly lost their lives mysteriously within a month

This is not the best of time for Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta, following the mysterious deaths of not less than five of its workers in less than two months that the former Medical Director Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu left office.

Our Correspondent learnt that the deaths which have left tongues wagging as observers claimed that the issue may not be ordinary.

Speaking with Our Correspondent, a Staff of FMC, Abeokuta who pleaded for anonymity said FMC Abeokuta has been experiencing series of crises since the exit of Prof Musa-Olomu, and his quest to return for second term.

He alleged that some groups had resulted into the use fetish in order to see to the return of the former Medical Director.

He also alleged that different groups have been saddled with the responsibility of engaging media in damage control by planting series of favourable news item for the return of former Medical Director, while some were told to engage spiritualists.

“Apart from the hi-tech lobbying going on in Abuja, the Center continue to witness daily throng of Islamic spiritualists, some who daily perform one ritual or the other

“A Doctor Dr Olukayode of Internal Medicine Department, one Audit staff, Mr Jones, one Confidential Secretary Mrs Sola Soleye and one Finance and Account staff Miss Amusan”.

Our source also alleged that in spite of his exit from office, the former Medical Director still enjoys some paraphernalia of office like the use of Police officer as orderly and the use of the hospital driver’s and also enjoying some privileges attached to the office of the Medical Director.

The Staff has also accused some loyalists of the former Medical Director of fraud.

While calling on the supervisory ministry of health ( State) to urgently intervene in the crisis rocking the center, they called on well meaning individuals not to relent in bringing sanity to FMC, Abeokuta.

All efforts to get the reaction from the Public Relations Officer of the Center, Mr Segun Orisajo was unsuccessful as his lines were not going through.
