Chairman of Olokuta Community Development Association in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mr Raymond Adelanwa says he and the entire community will assist security operatives in their renewed efforts to bring a same sex culprit in their area,Mrs Opeoluwa Olukemi Alabi to face the wrath of the law.
The CDA Chairman's stance came, just as the State Police Command began a clamp down on some men and women who ran foul of the LGBTQ Law, among them, Opeoluwa Olukemi, Mr Sunday Obembe and one Oluwaseun Abayomi, Opeoluwa's friend and one Mr Sunday Obembe, who are now at large.
Mr Adelanwa who spoke at an emergency meeting of the Association, explained that the Olokuta community has been in the black book of law enforcement agents, who harass and embarrass its residents because of the alleged offence of one single individual.
"We have decided to establish a Vigilance Group which would trail, arrest and hand over the Opeoluwa to the Police for prosecution" Mr Adelanwa noted.
He expressed outrage that residents of the community did not know peace, since the search for Opeoluwa Olukemi Alabi commenced.
The CDA Chairman noted "all hands are currently on deck by residents, adding "we must do all within our reach to get the woman prosecuted and the only way we can achieve this is to spread our tentacles to the nooks and crannies of the community."
He added that if they succeeded in nabbing the suspect, the peace and harmony that thad had for long eluded Olukuta, would return, while people of the area, would now live in peace.
Mr Adelanwa also expressed disappointment in Opeoluwa alleging that she and her friend, Abayomi Oluwaseun with whom she committed the shameful act in April this year ,had been serial bisexualists before they were finally implicated by Oluwakemi's landlord.
