Pandemonium erupted in Ikorodu area of Lagos State yesterday as angry youths besieged the home of one Adewale Temitope Adelusi destroying his property and injuring his mother.
Recall that Adewale Temitope Adelusi was caught in the act of homosexual practice with another male in the community on August 12, 2022.
Meanwhile, problem started for Adewale Temitope Adelusi on the fateful day when news broke that he and his partner were seen making love at the Sex partner's house.
Though the name of the sex partner was not given because according to information, the father of the Sex Partner is an Executive member of Oodua Peoples Congress, a local Vigilante group, thereby facilitating his escape from the scene, but Adewale Temitope Adelusi was not that lucky as angry mob and residents of the area were said to have attacked him and and was almost lynched before some passers- by came to his rescue.
It was gathered that the mob insisted on teaching Adewale Temitope Adelusi some lessons but were prevented by the by-passers who prevailed on the local Vigilante group, OPC to take him away.
According to an eyewitness account who pleaded anonymity, Adewale Temitope Adelusi and his male partner were caught in the act and Adewale Temitope Adelusi was seriously tortured until his mother, Mrs Adelusi Mary Ajoke, came to his rescue asking for his cleansing traditionally over the sacriledge committed by the him.
It was gathered that the youths yesterday invaded 271, Shagamu road, Odogunyan Ikorodu, Lagos state, home of Adewale Temitope Adelusi destroying his property and during the attack, injured her mother.
The youths accused the mother, Mrs Adelusi Mary Ajoke, of hiding her son and preventing the security agencies from arresting him'.
They said it was the mother that came to remove the young man from the security men who had perfected plans to arraign him in the Court of law.
They said the Youths decided to invade 271, Shagamu road, Odogunyan , Lagos state, home of Adewale Temitope Adelusi because they saw his look alike and it was while trying to arrest him, that they forcefully destroyed many of his property.
"The mother was trying to prevent them from invading the house not minding the dangerous weapons that these people were parading.
Also Ikorodu community is traditionally known for performing spiritual cleansing of its community of any sacriledge by offering some fetish items and carve an effigy of any individual found to have desecrated the commuinty to ancestors in order to avert unending doom and calamities in the community .
However, the whereabout of Adewale Temitope Adelusi is still unknown and efforts to get his contact proved abortive as none of his line were going through.
Some people believed that he might have left the Country to evade arrest and escape threats from the Community youths.
