Gunmen suspected to be cult members have reportedly attacked and burnt the family house of one Mrs Peju Ogundairo in Abule Olokuta Idi-Aba in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Peju Ogundairo who happens to be the mother of Adebayo Ogundairo was attacked by hoodlums who were alleged to be cultists who were on avenge mission to retaliate the lost of one leg of one of their gang leaders popularly called (OMOAYE)
Omo Aye is reported to be a Prince Dapo Abiodun Supporters who one of his legs was crushed by APM campaign bus which was driven by Hon Adebayo in Abeokuta Ogun State in 2019.
The said attack took place on Saturday 7th April 2023 around 6am.
The attack took place during burial proceeding arrangement of one of Mrs Peju Ogundairo daughter who died recently.
The attackers stormed the house with the hope that Mr Adebayo who is brother to the deceased and the Son of Mrs Peju would be around for his late Sister burial unfortunately for the hoodlums they met his absent and this got them angry and matchetted Mrs peju and also hit her head with a gun.
Asking her to produce her Son and threatens to kill her and they also matcheted one of her Sons Taiwo Ogundairo.
There was pandemonium as people scampered for safety other members of the family were also injured including her grandchildren.
A source who did not want his name in print for security reasons said a gang of ten men with guns and other deadly weapons barged into the house causing pandemonium in the house as many members of the family were around.
The injured victims were taken to undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, did not respond for comments on the attack.
