The ancient town of Erunwon Kingdom in Ogun state went agog recently  when the Elerunwon of Eruwon Kingdom, Oba (Barrister) J. Adebayo  Okubena conferred chieftaincy titles on some distinguished and prominent Nigerians including Rotarian  Edward Olusegun Alo who was honoured as the Otunba Atayese of Erunwon Ijebu Kingdom and his wife Yeye Atayese of the town.

The ceremony which attracted crème de la crème in Ogun state also witnessed the installation of High Chief Oluwole Adewale Adenuga and his wife, Chief Mrs. Abiodun Adenuga as Lisoku and Yeye Meso of Erunwon Ijebu Kingdom.

Representatives of one of the Otunba Alo's alma matter, particularly his secondary School in Ipetumodu  in Osun state described him as a pride to the school because of his contribution to his old school and his philanthropic nature generally.

"He has had a great impact on the lives of his fellow alumni either directly or indirectly. We pray that God will keep him and his family in good health and abundant wealth," one of the old students who pleaded anonymity said.

During a brief chat with news men,the new Otunba Atayese described the monarch of the kingdom as a God fearing man who has the fear and love of God as his guiding principle.

"I now by virtue of my new title, pledge to do more for the growth of this community, God help me," he added.

The Otunba charged youths in the country to note that South East, North or West our home is the best and we must contribute meaningfully to our community.
