Igbekebo the headquarters of Ese – Odo Local
Government Area of Ondo State was was agog in ecstasy on Friday, 19t July,
2019, as the new Odogun of Igbekebo, His Royal Highness, Oba Bamidele Simeon
Dabo received instrument of appointment and staff of office.
Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi,
who represented Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, presented the instrument
of appointment and staff of office to the new monarch.
The coronation ceremony, which was also attended by
the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Lola
Fagbemi, Senator Nicholas Tofowomo and traditional rulers, was held at the
Community Comprehensive High School Sports’ Complex, Igbekebo in Ese-Odo local
government.
The traditional stool of Odogun of Igbekebo became
vacant when Oba Emmanuel Omotumilara Egbukuyomi joined his ancestors in 21st
April, 2016.
